Aim:
Monitoring and evaluation are very important in today’s modern business world for implementations of the strategic plan, policy, checking day to day working activities, and progress of the project. Despite its importance, these important elements have been marginalized and in some cases, officers with a mandate to conduct monitoring and evaluation within an organization do not have what it takes for the assignment.
Therefore, this short course has been designed to equip participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills that are necessary for monitoring and evaluation of various organization (firms) projects (activities) with an interest in achieving a desired goal. The course covers various components of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning right from how to initiate plan and design for monitoring and evaluation to data quality assessment. It also presents data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of the findings. Further participants will have chances to visit currently implemented
projects and conduct evaluations as part of the training.
